Terms of service

These terms cover our newsletters, Cold Storage and Headcount One, the memberships we sell for them, and our websites. By subscribing or buying a membership, you agree to them.

Authority Press is run by Culture Classic Ventures, LLC, 110 E 25th St, New York, NY 10016 ("we", "us"). Our websites are theauthoritypress.com, headcountone.co and readcoldstorage.com. Write to us at dev@theauthoritypress.com.

The newsletters

Anyone can subscribe to the weekly issue for free. A membership adds the full weekly issue, a Sunday reading list, and the members' library on the newsletter's website.

News, not advice

Our newsletters report news and analysis for information only. Nothing in them is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Cold Storage reports market figures as news and never tells you what to trade. When Headcount One mentions what a company earns, that is what its founder or another source has said, and we name the source; we do not verify every figure. Your decisions are your own.

Memberships and payment

A membership costs $39.99 a year in US dollars, plus any tax that applies where you live. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which may act as the seller of record for your purchase and appear on your statement.

A paid membership renews automatically every year until you cancel. We email you before it renews. You can cancel at any time by writing to us or using the link in a members' email. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the year you paid for.

If we give you a free membership year, it ends at the end of that year and you are never charged unless you choose to buy a membership.

Using what we publish

Our newsletters and websites belong to us. You are welcome to share links and short quotes with credit. Please don't republish members' content in full, share your membership, or resell what we publish. We may end a membership that is abused in these ways, and we will refund the unused part of the year.

Changes to the newsletters

We may change what a newsletter covers or stop publishing it. If we stop a newsletter you pay for, we refund the unused part of your year.

Liability

We publish with care, but our newsletters and websites are provided as they are. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes go to the courts of New York County, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to members, we email them before it takes effect.
